On August 15, Zheng Xingui, a fruit farmer in Xinmin Village, Jinping Ethnic Township, Xiajiang County, was busy in his orchard. He said, Now our picking tour here is very hot. My rice dumplings will reach the high-yield period next year, and then they will be busy again. The picking economy, which is warming up day by day, has raised farmers'pockets, and has also stimulated local rural tourism. From January to June this year, the county received more than 1.03 million domestic tourists, more than 9,800 inbound tourists and 965 million yuan in tourism income.
In recent years, Xiajiang County has made great efforts to do a good job of combining agriculture with tourism, invigorating agriculture by tourism article, actively adjust the planting structure, through professional cooperatives, demonstration households, guide farmers to plant special melons and fruits, relying on the picking of special melons and fruits, holding cultural tourism festivals, attracting tourists to come and play. At the same time, aiming at the short-term leisure, entertainment and travel needs of urban residents, this paper explores the development mode of rural leisure tourism and green agriculture group, combines ecological agriculture with leisure tourism, develops leisure farms, builds rural residential quarters, and builds modern ecological efficiency integrating green fruits and vegetables, picking sightseeing, catering and leisure. Agricultural industry base should develop holiday economy of eating farm food + enjoying rural scenery + experiencing farm life, and realize the integration of ecological agriculture and leisure tourism. At present, the county's fruit planting area totals 631,000 mu, including 28,900 mu of citrus, 16,500 mu of bayberry, 17,700 mu of blueberry, yellow peach and crisp pear. Picking economy has become the main force of rural tourism and a new channel for farmers to increase their income.
